Kindergarten is you know, a garden where the children grow!

Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Perkins and I am so excited that you are going to be in my class this year. You are going to love kindergarten. In kindergarten we work hard, but we have fun. We have good manners and we always try our best. We will read stories, sing songs, write lots, learn math games, do art, have computer time, learn new things in science and social studies, play games, and more.

For information on the new Utah State Kindergarten Common Core Curriculum, please see the website

Due to the many unknowns related to COVID, our day will look different this year.  I will keep you updated the best that I can with new information. We will need to practice social distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing/sanitizing throughout our day. If we are to go into school closure, we will use Seesaw on the iPads for assignments. I will also be posting videos and other information to help teach your kindergartener.  Information is sorted in the tabs above.  For example, each book I video myself reading will be in the “Read Alouds” tab.  Thank you for being willing to continue your child’s learning during this time!

As the year progresses, we will give your child access to the following learning resource links:
