About Mrs. Wheelwright
I was born in Rhode Island, lived in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and then went to school in Maine. I grew up playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball and tennis. My family traveled and skied at Killington in Vermont every weekend. I was a mogul skier/competitor for 10 years and finally moved out to Utah to be on the Snowbird Freestyle team. I eventually decided to give my body a rest and pursue my career as a PE teacher. Right after graduating from the University of Utah, I got my first teaching job at Parley’s Park in 2003 and I’ve been here ever since. How lucky I was to get my first job at a great school with awesome teachers, kids and parents who support me and PE.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with Cody, Ellie and Shane (my husband). My other interests involve hiking, mountain biking, skiing (of course) and a good book every now and then when I find time.
PE Expectations
Sneakers
Sneakers must be worn for P.E. or students may be asked to sit out. When snow boots are worn to school, put sneakers in the backpack or leave a pair at school.
